About the Food
Freeze-dried raw dog food starts as whole, raw, minimally processed ingredients — meat, organs, bone, and vegetables — and is then freeze-dried to remove moisture without cooking. This locks in nutrients, natural enzymes, and flavor that are destroyed by the high heat used to make kibble. The result is a shelf-stable food that rehydrates in seconds and delivers the benefits of a raw diet without refrigeration.
Every Loyal Saints formula is made with whole, recognizable ingredients from Midwest farms — no fillers, no by-products, and no ingredient you can't pronounce. Our Beef formula features grass-fed beef, beef liver, beef heart, and seasonal vegetables. Chicken features free-range chicken with organ meat and superfoods. Turkey + Salmon adds omega-rich wild-caught salmon for skin and coat support. Full ingredient lists are on each product page.
Yes. All Loyal Saints ingredients meet USDA standards for human consumption. That means the same meat that could be on your plate is in your dog's bowl. Not 'feed-grade' protein. Not by-products. Real, human-grade food.
No soy. No corn. No wheat. No GMOs. No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. No added hormones. We believe what's not in the bag is just as important as what is — and we hold that line across every formula.
Yes. All Loyal Saints formulas are formulated to meet the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages, including growth and reproduction. Your dog can eat Loyal Saints as her complete, sole diet — nothing extra needed.
We currently offer three AAFCO-complete formulas: Beef, Chicken, and Turkey + Salmon. Each is designed to be fed as a complete meal, and many dog moms rotate between proteins to keep meals interesting and support gut diversity.
Yes. Loyal Saints is one of the best options for dogs with food sensitivities or allergies because our short, clean ingredient lists make it easy to identify and avoid trigger proteins. No soy, corn, wheat, or artificial additives means fewer common irritants. Many of our customers switched specifically because their dog had persistent GI issues, itchy skin, or picky eating on other diets — and saw dramatic improvements.
Feeding & Transition
Feeding amounts depend on your dog's weight, age, and activity level. Our general guidelines: dogs under 10 lbs → ¼ cup per day; 10–25 lbs → ½ cup; 25–50 lbs → 1 cup; 50–80 lbs → 1½ cups; 80+ lbs → 2+ cups. Start at the lower end, monitor body condition (you should feel ribs without pressing hard), and adjust from there. Your vet can also help dial in exact amounts.
No. Loyal Saints is formulated to be a complete and balanced meal. You don't need to add vitamins, supplements, or anything else. Just add a little warm water to rehydrate and serve. That said, some dog moms love adding a probiotic, omega supplement, or seasonal veggie boost — all of that is fine alongside Loyal Saints.
We recommend a 7-day transition: Days 1–2, feed 75% current food + 25% Loyal Saints. Days 3–4, go 50/50. Days 5–6, go 25% current + 75% Loyal Saints. Day 7, full Loyal Saints. Some dogs sail through the switch with no symptoms; others (especially those on low-quality kibble for years) may have 1–2 days of loose stool as their gut microbiome resets. This is normal.
Yes. Many dog moms transition by mixing Loyal Saints with current food. Note that kibble and raw foods digest at different rates, so some dogs handle the combo better than others. For dogs with sensitive stomachs, a clean switch (using the 7-day transition) often works better than long-term mixing.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store your unopened bag in a cool, dry place — a pantry or cabinet is perfect. Once opened, seal the bag tightly (use the resealable closure) and store in the same cool, dry spot. Use within 4–6 weeks of opening for best freshness. Prepared/rehydrated food can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
No fridge needed — that's one of the biggest advantages of freeze-dried. Unlike fresh or refrigerated raw diets, Loyal Saints is shelf-stable until opened. Once you add water to a serving, treat it like any fresh food: serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. This makes Loyal Saints ideal for travel, busy households, and anyone who wants the benefits of raw without the fridge logistics.

Brand & Trust
Because we haven't spent our budget on Super Bowl commercials or VC-funded acquisition. Loyal Saints is a founder-owned brand that grew almost entirely through word of mouth — dog mom to dog mom — because the results speak louder than ads. In the time it takes most brands to run their first campaign, we exhibited at SuperZoo and Global Pet Expo, earned an Emerging Brand designation from the World Pet Association, ranked in the top 4 of General Merchandise out of 90,000+ brands on RangeMe, and were featured on CBS Minnesota. You'll find us when you're ready. When you do, you'll wonder why you waited.
Three things no other freeze-dried brand can say all at once. First: King's proof. Loyal Saints was built by a founder who reversed her own dog's chronic health issues with the exact food she created — that is not a marketing angle, it is verifiable proof. Second: zero compromise ingredients across every formula. Many clean brands still make one exception — a trace additive, a binder they call natural, a filler they haven't cut yet. Loyal Saints holds the line across everything: no soy, no corn, no GMOs, no additives, no wheat, no fillers, no by-products, no artificial preservatives — in every formula, always. Third: true freeze-dried raw with a 12+ month shelf life and no refrigeration required. The nutritional profile of raw without the logistics of raw.
Fair question. Here is the evidence: SuperZoo 2025 Emerging Brand designation from the World Pet Association. Global Pet Expo 2025 official exhibitor. RangeMe top-ranked General Merchandise brand out of 90,000+ accounts. Featured on CBS Minnesota. All three formulas are AAFCO-complete, manufactured in a USDA-inspected Midwest facility with human-grade ingredients. 30-day money-back guarantee on your first order — no return required. You have more third-party verification here than most brands you have already trusted. And if your dog does not show results in 30 days, we refund everything.
Loyal Saints is manufactured in the USA in a USDA-inspected facility in the Midwest. We source ingredients from Midwest farms — the same supply chain that feeds human food manufacturers. We keep the specific facility name proprietary, but the USDA inspection status and human-grade processing standards are real and verifiable. Made in the USA. Not outsourced. Not imported and packaged here. Made here.
Approximately $2–3 per day for a medium dog (35 lbs), depending on feeding frequency. With the Halo Club subscription — 20% off every order — the daily cost is even lower. This is significantly less than fresh delivery brands like Farmer's Dog ($5–8 per day) and Ollie ($4–7 per day), and comparable to premium kibble while delivering the nutritional profile of freeze-dried raw food. Use our feeding guide to calculate the exact daily cost for your dog's weight.
Yes. Every Loyal Saints purchase supports our Pawsitive Impact program — a portion of every sale goes to rescue organizations and animal welfare partners. We believe the dogs who need real food most are often the ones waiting in shelters. Every bag you buy helps more dogs get there.
Compare & Switch
The Farmer's Dog makes excellent fresh-cooked food — but fresh-cooked and freeze-dried raw are different formats. The Farmer's Dog gently cooks its ingredients, which destroys heat-sensitive enzymes and reduces bioavailability compared to raw. Loyal Saints is freeze-dried raw — no heat used, enzymes intact, raw nutrition preserved in a shelf-stable format. The Farmer's Dog requires constant refrigeration and ships with ice packs. Loyal Saints is pantry-stable for 12+ months, ships without ice, and stores in a cabinet. Daily cost: Loyal Saints runs approximately $2–3 per day for a medium dog. The Farmer's Dog typically runs $5–8 per day. Both are human-grade and free of artificial preservatives. Full comparison at loyalsaintspets.com/pages/loyal-saints-vs-farmers-dog.
Ollie is a fresh-cooked delivery brand — excellent product, but a different format from freeze-dried raw. Fresh-cooked means enzymes are reduced by cooking, refrigeration is required, and frozen shipping is involved. Loyal Saints costs approximately $2–3 per day vs. Ollie at $4–7 per day for a medium dog. Loyal Saints requires no refrigeration and ships without ice. Full comparison at loyalsaintspets.com/pages/loyal-saints-vs-ollie.
Open Farm offers a broad line including kibble, wet food, and freeze-dried products. Their freeze-dried products are solid. Loyal Saints is exclusively freeze-dried raw and holds a strict no-soy, no-corn, no-GMO, no-additive, no-wheat standard across every single product with no exceptions. Open Farm's standards vary by product line. Loyal Saints is woman-owned and founded by the dog mom who created the food for her own dog, King. Sundays uses air-drying — not freeze-drying. Air-drying uses low heat over a long period, which partially destroys enzymes and reduces bioavailability compared to true raw food. Freeze-drying uses no heat at all — food is frozen and moisture is removed under vacuum. Loyal Saints is genuinely raw: enzyme activity intact, bioavailability equivalent to fresh raw food. Both formats require no refrigeration, but if you want raw nutrition — not dried nutrition — freeze-dried raw is the correct format. Easier than you think. Follow a 7-day transition: start with 25% Loyal Saints and 75% of your dog's current food. Every 2 days, increase Loyal Saints by 25% until you reach 100%. Most dogs make the switch without any symptoms. Dogs that have eaten lower-quality kibble for years may have 1–2 days of loose stool as their gut microbiome resets — this is normal and passes quickly. After the transition, most dog owners notice improved coat quality, better digestion, firmer stools, and more energy within 2–4 weeks.
